No, the Earth Is Not Panicking
But here’s why everything feels so loud — and what to do with it
My TikTok algorithm knows me well, so it’s never a surprise when a video about the Schumann resonance pops up on my feed.
If you’re not yet familiar, the Schumann resonance refers to a global electromagnetic phenomenon: a set of spectral peaks in the extremely low frequency range of Earth’s electromagnetic field, recorded by research stations around the world.
Over time, researchers have noticed some interesting correlations between the resonance frequencies and human health. These correlations have led some to hypothesize that the Schumann resonance may influence human brain activity and well-being. (This is a deep and fascinating rabbit hole if you’ve got some time to spare — this NIH study and this NASA article are great places to start.)
These days, many people — scientists and layfolk alike — track the daily frequency reports and look for patterns linking Earth’s vibrational resonance with our human experience.
My understanding of this phenomenon is basic at best, but I’m intrigued by its frequent nickname: “Earth’s heartbeat.” Given my own intimate relationship with Gaia — the conscious being of Earth — I’m always curious to see how her energy shows up on our scientific radar.
Recently, however, I’ve seen several videos that reference the current Schumann resonance readings and claim that “Earth is having a panic attack.”
This interpretation is both incorrect and potentially alarming, so I’d like to offer a gentle correction as well as a bit of context.
. . .
To be clear, my understanding comes from information received in deep meditative states and direct connection with Earth’s energy field. I claim no expertise on the scientific side of this, but I do feel fully certain in what I am about to share with you.
I sensed this shift in Earth’s energy before it ever showed up on the graphs. I also understand its purpose and what it means for humanity.
And if anything, we should feel comforted — not alarmed.
. . .
So, first of all:
Earth is not having panic attacks.
“Panic attack” implies a lack of understanding and control, and nothing could be further from the truth.
Gaia is stable. She is fully aware. And she is in control.
What many are feeling isn’t Gaia’s panic — it’s dissonance: the mismatch between our current systems’ frequencies and Earth’s newly emerging resonance.
It’s like we’ve been singing our collective human song in D flat, and for a while Earth agreed to hum D flat along with us (what a patient mother she has been). But now she’s shifting into C, and many of us are still singing D flat.
There is nothing wrong with her C chord — in fact, it is more reflective of her true energy than the chorus she humored us with for so long — it just feels “off” to those of us who have been singing D flat our whole lives (and have simply forgotten that we, too, can change notes).
. . .
Gaia’s energy shift is not new, but it has been gaining momentum as of late. I assume this is why we are seeing more and more spikes and anomalies in the Schumann resonance readings: visible evidence confirming the subtle energetic changes unfolding beneath our feet.
And it’s understandable that these measurable shifts might be misread as danger: humans often interpret the unfamiliar as a threat. We’ve become so accustomed to distorted, discordant energy fields — shaped and sustained by our societal systems — that this return to coherence can feel almost unnerving, perhaps even deeply so. It may trigger feelings of panic in us, especially if we don’t understand how or why it’s happening.
But these now nearly-daily frequency spikes are not a warning siren — they are the drumbeat of Earth’s reclamation. They are the sound of Gaia moving back into alignment.
She is not breaking; she is broadcasting her true tones.
And perhaps most importantly: she is inviting us to join her.
. . .
I also want to be clear — this is not a collapse of Gaia, but it is part of the collapse of our false systems.
The shift Earth is making is not conditional on humanity. It is decidedly sovereign and independent.
And as this new frequency settles into permanence, misaligned energy will either come into harmony or fall into such deep dissonance that it simply dissolves.
It is not judgment — it is recalibration.
You may have felt this in your body or life recently, a kind of friction between old patterns (often deeply embedded) and this new resonance.
It might feel uncomfortable, or even painful, but it is not a threat. It is an invitation.
Think of this as our collective birth canal into coherence.
You are living through a planetary realignment and being offered the opportunity to align with it.
. . .
Now, take a breath.
Big things are happening, yes — but you are still here, and you are still you.
Gaia is not malfunctioning, and neither are you. Your nervous system is simply encountering Earth’s new song and learning how to respond.
You are not meant to grip — to cling to the familiar in search of your footing. You are meant to tune — to root yourself into the Earth and discover your new resonance there.
Take a lesson from the trees, Earth’s great guardians and transmitters of energy:
When the storm rolls in, the trees don’t panic. They bend. They deepen their roots. They trust the Earth to hold.
So, what practices are most grounding for you?
Whether it’s meditating, reading, walking, singing, making art, or simply being with someone you love — make a short list, and begin a regular practice.
Let that practice help you remember what calm feels like in your body. Begin to notice what your energy feels like when it’s not being pulled in every direction.
That frequency is your magic — a tuning point you can return to again and again, as often as needed.
And if starting something new feels overwhelming, choose the simplest practice on your list, the one with the lowest entry point. Aim to do it once a day, or as often as you can, even for just a few minutes.
Don’t beat yourself up if you forget; simply start again when you remember.
These are not survival tools — they are tuning rituals.
And what cannot hold the new tune is not failing, it is dissolving.
Let it dissolve.
Root yourself in the energy of the Earth. Use her new frequency to discover a deeper part of yourself. Trust that coherence is forming — and that you are already joining its flow.
What is emerging now holds immeasurable beauty, joy, and gratitude. You’ll feel it when you touch it.
Welcome to the New Earth frequency.
✨
With reverence,
